A master degree pianist Prof. David Baumgarten
Graduated in classical music the 2005th from the
Music Academy in Zagreb, under the guidance of the renowned Prof. Marina Ambokadze, mentor to
one of today's leading pianists, maestro Ivo Pogorelić.
Alongside his classical piano
development, which culminated in 2006 with a solo recital at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall
in Zagreb, after numerous festivals and competitions, he simultaneously cultivated an interest
in improvisation, prelude, smooth jazz, and exploring musical structures in general.
This led to
his first performances in the smooth jazz genre in 1998, starting first in luxury hotels on the
Adriatic coast. His performances expanded to luxury cruises with the Holland America Line, and
he has continuously performed in the most luxurious hotels, villas, restaurants, and larger
yachts across Croatia to this day.
Prof. David Baumgarten is now a well experienced pianist performing in exclusive environments,
focusing on smooth jazz, bossa nova, swing, evergreen classics, jazzy pop standards, and
generally pleasant background music.
Ensemble
Solo piano
In a solo piano performance, the focus is on the atmosphere created by the
quiet playing of elegant smooth jazz standards, bossa nova, and easy swing tunes from the Frank
Sinatra era, giving your event an elegant, international, and American feel.
This
performance is
ideal for events with an international audience and shorter duration. The solo piano performance

Duo
A piano, in various combinations with an instrumental duo, is
accompanied by female vocals,
double bass, saxophone, or drums. This rare instrumental format highlights an original sound
created by combining elements of smooth jazz, swing, and evergreen pop hits, creating a unique
musical experience, ideal for smaller events in smaller spaces, such as welcome drink
gatherings, receptions, business dinners, and corporate get-togethers.
Thanks to its
more
compact composition, the duo represents a budget-friendly option while maintaining the highest
level of quality and corporate elegance. The duo comes with its own technical equipment for
sound, electric piano, and lighting, ensuring high-quality sound and carefree enjoyment of music
in any space.
Trio
Beyond the traditional trio format, we offer a dynamic and versatile musical experience. Our
repertoire features a wide range of high-quality international music, with a particular focus on
jazz standards, bossa nova, cha-cha, swing, Latin rhythms, pop evergreens, and generally
pleasant background music.
We provide our own professional sound equipment, electric
piano, and
lighting to ensure top-notch sound quality and a seamless musical experience in any venue.
Quartet
With years of experience on the stage, the four-piece Mystic Rose
Ensemble performs exclusively
international repertoire, with a particular focus on smooth jazz standards, bossa nova, swing,
Latin rhythms, pop evergreens, and pleasant background music, with the possibility of
incorporating captivating dance sets.
This concept represents the perfect balance
between
sophisticated musical interpretation, appealing to all generations, surprise performances, and
unobtrusive background music that enhances any event, be it private gatherings, gala dinners,
welcome drink cocktails, corporate events, or larger celebrations.
The quartet offers a
diverse
